Organizational culture and business sustainability in SMEs during crisis periods of social confinement

Abstract

This article aims to describe organizational culture and sustainability as strategies to mitigate the economic crisis caused by COVID-19 in the retail clothing trade sector of the city of Cabimas in Zulia state. Within the framework of the quantitative methodology, a standardized questionnaire was applied (validated by experts and with a Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of 0.92 Very High) with 16 items applied to 14 SMEs in the retail sector of children's clothing in the Cabimas city, which was applied in April / 2020 through a Google form. Then the information obtained was processed through the SPSS statistical software, where the descriptive statistics were determined and the main results were obtained: the economic and health crisis caused by COVID-19 has stimulated business strategies aligned to the use of electronic commerce and mass use from social networks not only official but from workers, who, assuming their commitments with SMEs responsibly, have established networks and relationships with clients that have strengthened alternative forms of commercial exchange.
