"Eco Salud" program in the development of environmental awareness in high school students, 2020

Abstract

The general objective of the research carried out was to
analyze the effect of the "Eco Salud" Program on the
development of environmental awareness in third grade
high school students, 2020. The type of research was
applied, quasi-experimental design and quantitative
approach. The population was 90 students and the
sample of 40 distributed in two groups of 20. For data
collection, the survey was used as a technique and the
questionnaire as an instrument. The construct validity was
established through the total domain correlation of the
variable with each of the dimensions. Reliability was

determined using the statistical method. Kuder-
Richardson-20. Obtaining a (Kr-20) of 0.96. The data

analysis was carried out using differential descriptive
statistics. The normality test was performed using the
Shapiro-Wilk statistic. Data were analyzed with the
nonparametric Mann-Whitney U test. In conclusion, the
"Eco Salud" program has positive and significant effects
on the development of environmental awareness in third
grade secondary school students, from the I.E. No 143
“Solidaridad II”, which is corroborated by the value of Z = -
4.281 is located below the critical level, therefore Zc <-
1.96 (-4.281 <-1.96), also the value of p = 0.000 <0.001.
