Abstract

The objective of the research was focused on
determining the effect of the Winplot Software on
solving problems of regularity, equivalence and
change of the studied sample. Regarding the
methodology, the research was applied and the
design used was quasi-experimental. The population
was made up of 65 students from the fifth year of
secondary school from a public educational institution,
and the sample consisted of 15 students in the control
group and 15 students in the experimental group. The
inferential analysis through the Mann-Whitney U test
to test the general hypothesis, a p-value = 0.00 < α =
0.05 and Z = -4,734 <-1.96 (theoretical value). Then,
the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative
hypothesis was accepted, therefore, there are
differences between the control and experimental,
groups Winplot software was verified to have a
positive and significant effect in solving regularity,
equivalence and change problems.
