Abstract

The attitude of authorities, teachers and students at basic and higher levels can have favorable repercussions regarding inclusive education in schools and universities, and although significant progress has been shown, there is room for further improvement. Addressing this issue from the perspective of everyday actors can be revealing. The objective of this study is to sensitize the reader regarding the importance of promoting inclusive education both in schools and at the university, from the experiences of the actors involved. The study method was the narrative review, considering articles from the Scielo database. Among the most relevant reflections was the importance and repercussions in the future, when adequate inclusive education is carried out in school, considering the self-concept and sense of belonging of the student with disabilities. As a second reflection, the student with disabilities, after a long-term job, can achieve a certain independence and autonomy that allows them to get a job and achieve a decent lifestyle. Along the same lines, the support of family, people close to you, as well as the consideration of a long-term job, can be decisive for achieving objectives
