Abstract

The research is framed within the SDG of educational quality management, seeking an inclusive and quality education. The objective was to learn about the experiences of primary school teachers in the use of innovative teaching strategies in Arequipa, using a qualitative approach, basic, descriptive level and phenomenological design. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 5 private IE teachers, 7 public IE teachers and 1 pedagogical assistant. The results showed that teachers in public institutions face limitations due to lack of technological equipment and training, while those in private institutions use some tools. It was concluded that teachers in state schools mainly use concrete material, and those in private institutions use videos, interactive worksheets and inverted classroom. However, they do not use innovative strategies, such as Project Based Learning (PBL), showing a lack of knowledge of its use and methodology. In addition, some teachers do not use technological tools for lack of knowledge, and expressed their desire for training, as well as their interest in participating in collaborative work networks.
