“ABP” method in solving data management problems and uncertainty in a Public Educational Institution, 2020

Abstract

The objective of the research was focused on
determining the effect of the Problem-Based Learning
(PBL) method in solving data management problems
and uncertainty of the studied sample. Regarding the
methodology, the research was applied and the
design used was quasi-experimental. The population
was made up of 65 fourth-year high school students
from a Public Educational Institution and the sample
consisted of 15 students in the control group and 15
students in the experimental group. The inferential
analysis through the Mann-Whitney U test to test the
general hypothesis, a p-value = 0.00 <α = 0.05 and Z
= -4.711 <-1.96 (theoretical value) was obtained.
Then, the null hypothesis was rejected and the
alternative hypothesis was accepted, therefore, there
are differences between the control and experimental
group, it was verified that the ABP method has a
positive and significant effect on the resolution of data
management problems and uncertainty.
